The steering controls of this clone was very well done as well as the shooting. It feels very smooth! However, I had a hard time playing through the game. I'm not sure if it's a box collider issue but I randomly start over from where I began.  It doesn't give me the option to restart which made me assume that I didn't crash.  One other minor issue is that the AI (mostly blue) will randomly disappear. Other than that this was really good!

Well done here Justin. I am a big fan of your sprites and the general feel of your clone. Especially your player sprite which I think looks really good and animates well to help sell the side to side movement. I also appreciate the inclusion of WASD controls for ease of use, but I think I might also have enjoyed seeing an option to switch to the retro controls as I think they can help add to the period accuracy. I think your strongest aspect of this clone is the movement and sprite work, it’s really enjoyable to control and I think your speed feels right. I am not sure if it is the bullets or the enemies that are responsible, but after I shoot I can swerve and line my traveling bullet up with the enemies ahead of me to make sure I hit. I think if the bullets stayed their course after firing it might improve the skillfulness and polish of your clone. I struggled with the bullet logic in my clone too and was not successful in completely fixing it in the end. Overall though I enjoyed playing your take on Deathchase!

Hey Justin. The bike movement is really good! I think the acceleration and turn speed you have are spot on. There is this weird bug when you shoot while static, and I think it messes with my collision, because after I do that, I die randomly. Additionally, there is another bug when I randomly lose, even though I have three lives and haven't hit anything. I will say though that the WASD control scheme is much nicer than the 1890 scheme!

Hey Justin! The bike movement on this feels really solid, it’s super responsive. I’m not sure if the way the enemies move was intentional but I think I’m into it? It’s kinda trippy and kaleidoscope-esque, even if it’s not super authentic. I think the big thing I was left wanting from this was some sort of big, obvious effect when you crash into a tree or hit an enemy. The collision when you hit the tree is a little bit weird sometimes as well - sometimes it feels like I’ve successfully avoided it and then I’ll crash anyway. Good work!
